Job description

Employer: Veeam Software Corporation 

Position: Principal Engineer, Salesforce 

Duties:   Lead custom development and ongoing enhancement of the Salesforce platform to ensure alignment with Veeam's business goals, technical, and security standards. Collaborate with business and management to gather, analyze, and prioritize new projects. Review, assess, and integrate new technical requirements into a highly customized Salesforce org including Sales and Service Clouds. Design and implement robust and innovative Salesforce solutions, including custom applications, automation, and integrations, leveraging both native Salesforce features and custom development. Architect and develop Salesforce Experience Cloud solutions tailored to 45 thousand channels and alliance Go-To-Market partners to enhance their user experience and engagement. Continuously research and analyze the latest Salesforce platform updates, features, and best practices to evaluate their applicability within Veeam's environment. Write comprehensive unit tests to ensure high quality and reliability. Monitor, debug, and resolve issues and faults within the production Salesforce environment to ensure minimal business disruption. Design and implement middleware web services between Salesforce and a variety of external systems using Java and the Spring Boot framework to leverage Salesforce APIs to support complex business logic. Manage deployment pipelines using Gearset CI/CD tool and GitHub. Set up and optimize deployment workflows. Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Salesforce developers. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, maintain code quality, and promote knowledge sharing within the team. Participate in interviewing and evaluating new candidates for the development team. Possesses a mastery knowledge and skills within Salesforce to understand the impact of work on other areas of the organization. 

Education Required:   Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field 

Experience Required:   7 years of progressive experience as Salesforce Technical Leader, Salesforce Developer, or related occupation 

Special Requirements:    Must have at least 2 years of prior work experience in each of the following: 

  1. Designing and delivering Salesforce Experience Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud solutions for over 40,000 users in usage-based SaaS Go-to-Market technology companies, leveraging tools such as Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, Salesforce Flows, Workflows, Triggers, Validation Rules, Approval Processes, SOQL, SOSL, and Apex. Troubleshooting and resolving Salesforce issues using at least three of the following: Salesforce Scale Center, Event Log Files, ApexGuru Insights, Apex debug logs, Workbench and/or Splunk. 
  2. Evolving a mature Salesforce environment (i.e. environment with a decade or more of customizations and development) managing performance issues, scalability and kruft, working teams of 15 or more engineers, Performance/Unlimited edition. 
  3. Designing and implementing secure single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) integrations using SAML, OAuth, and JWT for both third-party and custom identity providers. 
  4. Establishing team-wide Apex coding standards and conducting code reviews using GitLab and GitHub. 
  5. Building and managing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes utilizing Gearset and GitHub. 
  6. Developing middleware web services and integrations using Java, Spring Boot, Jenkins, HashiCorp Vault, Kibana, GitLab, and Salesforce APIs including composite APIs. 

- Must hold Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I certification.
