Responsibilities:

  • Provide system and database administration support to a SAS environment, enabling the maintenance and ongoing development of associated web applications
  • Maintain server configurations, perform patching and security compliance
  • Support peer review and testing activities
  • Assist the Senior Developer with development efforts including SQL, web app, and SAS platforms
  • Assist with planning for server migrations, SAS upgrades, and potential future transition to a new Platform as a Service (PaaS) or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environment
  • Demonstrate the aptitude to learn new skills in system and database administration, software development lifecycle, and security compliance
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, system configurations, and operational procedures
  • Document application logic and workflows through clear in-line code comments and supporting artifacts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent experience
  • HTML 5.x, CSS, JavaScript (NOT JScript, only native JavaScript)
  • Database concepts in general, SQL in general
  • Great communication and organizational skills 
  • Active Security Clearance

Desired:

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification
  • Experience with SAS 9.4, especially base SAS, macros, data step processing
  • Knowledge of SAS/EBI, SAS Viya, metadata tools
  • Scheduled tasks and batch processing in general, especially batch SAS programming
