Job Summary:
Amentum is NASA’s largest engineering solutions provider, committed to human space exploration and innovative solutions. They are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to develop and deliver business intelligence solutions, including Power BI dashboards, while collaborating with stakeholders to enhance data processes and integrity.
Responsibilities:
• Utilize your business acumen and technical expertise to develop and deliver cutting-edge business intelligence solutions, including captivating Power BI dashboards tailored for NASA customers.
• Develop dynamic mechanisms that allow users to override data or add variables to existing datasets.
• Create interactive components within Power BI reports, empowering users to input and manipulate data.
• Champion the philosophy of tool automation, advocating for the streamlining of processes and minimizing reliance on manual intervention for optimal efficiency and precision.
• Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, leveraging a diverse set of tools and skills such as Visual Analytics Tools, SQL, Smartsheet, Advanced Excel, SharePoint, and Visio to automate business processes and drive efficiency.
• Ensure data quality and reporting data integrity.
• Coordinate with other database stakeholders to ensure efficiencies.
• Work with multiple databases across multiple systems for data identification and reporting.
• Perform other similar or related duties as required.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a related area and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Strong organization and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrate strength in problem solving, leading to recommended solutions, and using a team-oriented approach.
• At least 3 years of experience with Power BI and Paginated Reports.
• At least 3 years of demonstrating advanced knowledge of MS Excel in areas such as VBA, Power Query, and Named Tables.
• Applicants are required to submit samples of previously created PBIX files to demonstrate their proficiency in Power BI and showcase their ability to develop insightful visualizations and reports.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency may be a requirement for this position.
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Preferred:
• At least 1 year of experience in MS SQL to write optimized queries across large volumes of data.
• At least 1 year of experience with MS SSRS report development and maintenance.
• A minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
