Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic School Mental Health Team at Gotham Enterprises Ltd. Located in Defiance, Missouri, this full-time remote position within our outpatient office will focus on providing exceptional mental health services tailored to the unique needs of our student population. Work Environment

This position allows for a flexible remote work setting, providing the unique opportunity to deliver mental health services from the comfort of your home while staying engaged with the school community. Standard hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekend coverage when necessary to ensure comprehensive support for our students. Some on-call availability may be required for urgent mental health situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments for students, evaluating their personal history, presenting issues, and potential risk factors to inform treatment plans.
• Collaborate with students to create and implement tailored treatment strategies to address their specific mental health challenges, enhance emotional well-being, and facilitate a positive school experience.
• Employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to address a range of mental health conditions effectively.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, guiding students toward personal growth and the development of effective coping strategies.
• Work alongside psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to coordinate comprehensive care and ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
• Provide effective crisis intervention support to students facing mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and making necessary referrals for higher levels of care.
• Educate students and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and community resources to empower them in understanding their conditions and navigating their care.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date records of assessments, treatment plans, and patient progress in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Participate actively in team meetings and professional development activities to continuously enhance clinical skills and foster collaboration within the school environment.
• Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines to ensure best practices in mental health service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The candidate will primarily work with students from diverse backgrounds, including those coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health issues. Your expertise and compassionate approach will be essential in creating individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each student while fostering an inclusive and supportive school community.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current, active LCSW licensure in the state of Missouri.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health, preferably within an educational setting.
• Thorough understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and trauma-informed care principles.
• Proficiency in performing mental health assessments and developing effective treatment plans.
• Demonstrated experience providing individual and group therapeutic services using diverse therapeutic approaches.
• Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable effective relationship-building with students, families, and staff.
• Ability to utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems and work proficiently with technology.

• Experience in providing mental health services in school settings, demonstrating familiarity with the challenges students face.
• Expertise in utilizing various therapeutic approaches suited to adolescents and young adults.

Compensation and Benefits
