To thrive as a Remote Roofing Inspector, you need a solid understanding of roofing systems, construction principles, and inspection protocols, often supported by relevant certifications such as HAAG or InterNACHI. Familiarity with inspection software, drones, and digital reporting tools is crucial for conducting and documenting thorough remote assessments. These skills and tools ensure precise, efficient inspections and trustworthy reports, which are vital for client satisfaction and safety.

What is a Remote Roofing Inspector?

A Remote Roofing Inspector is a professional who evaluates the condition of roofs without being physically present at the site. They use technology such as drones, satellite imagery, or virtual inspection software to assess roofs for damage, maintenance needs, or insurance claims. This role allows for efficient and safe inspections, reducing the need for travel and minimizing risks associated with climbing roofs. Remote inspectors often communicate their findings through digital reports and may work with homeowners, contractors, or insurance companies.

What are some common challenges faced by Remote Roofing Inspectors, and how can they be addressed?

Remote Roofing Inspectors often encounter challenges such as limited visibility due to weather conditions, reliance on high-quality photos or drone footage, and the need for effective communication with on-site personnel. To address these issues, inspectors should be proficient with digital inspection tools, establish clear protocols for capturing and sharing images, and maintain strong collaboration with clients or contractors on the ground. Staying updated on the latest remote inspection technologies also helps ensure accuracy and efficiency in assessments.

Job description

Lighthouse Roofing and Exteriors is a premier roofing and storm restoration company expanding across the Colorado Front Range. We specialize in helping homeowners rebuild and recover after major hail storms and severe weather. We are growing fast and looking for motivated, outgoing individuals to be the face of our company in local neighborhoods.

The Role: We are hiring energetic Neighborhood Canvassers / Field Marketing Representatives to join our team. You do not need roofing experience. We will fully train you! In this field-based role, you will drive to designated neighborhoods, knock on doors, and speak directly with homeowners about scheduling a free roof inspection with our senior sales team.

If you are a great communicator, love working outdoors, and want a flexible, remote-based schedule where your effort dictates your paycheck, this is the perfect opportunity.

What You Will Do:

  • Drive to assigned residential neighborhoods (recent storm/hail zones).
  • Canvass door-to-door, initiating friendly conversations with homeowners.
  • Educate homeowners on the benefits of a free, no-obligation roof inspection.
  • Set and schedule inspection appointments for our Field Claims Consultants.
  • Accurately track the neighborhoods visited and appointments set using your smartphone.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and auto insurance. (This role is field-based and requires daily driving).
  • Excellent face-to-face communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude and comfortable handling rejection.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined to work independently without sitting in an office.
  • A smartphone with data to access our scheduling and mapping apps.

Compensation & Perks:

  • Pay Structure: High earning commission based job!
  • Training: Comprehensive, paid training provided. We teach you exactly what to say.
  • Flexibility: Remote, field-based environment.
  • Career Growth: Top-performing canvassers have a direct path to promotion into our high-earning, commission-based Sales Consultant roles.
