You may document all interactions in electronic health records, coordinate with physicians or advanced practice providers, and sometimes follow up with patients to ensure their concerns are addressed. What is a Remote RN Triage job?
A Remote RN Triage job involves providing telephone-based or virtual patient care, assessing symptoms, offering medical advice, and directing patients to the appropriate level of care. Triage nurses rely on clinical protocols to determine whether a patient needs emergency care, a doctor's visit, or self-care at home. They work for hospitals, clinics, insurance companies, or telehealth services. This role requires strong critical thinking, decision-making skills, and an active RN license.
What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Remote Rn Triage position, and why are they important?
To thrive as a Remote RN Triage nurse, you need an active registered nurse (RN) license, strong clinical judgment, and experience in patient assessment and telephone triage. Familiarity with telehealth platforms, electronic health records (EHRs), and triage protocols such as Schmitt-Thompson guidelines is typically required. Excellent listening skills, compassion, and the ability to clearly communicate medical advice over the phone or online set outstanding candidates apart. These competencies are critical to accurately evaluating patient needs, ensuring safe care from a distance, and providing reassurance in potentially urgent situations.

Job description
Remote Family Medicine Physician - 100% Telehealth - Kansas Licensed | Full-Time | Monday-Friday | $180,000-$220,000
About the Opportunity
Kansas MDs and DOs keep a Wichita, Kansas City metro, or rural home base and practice fully online. Hours are 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM Central, weekdays only.
My client is a leading virtual healthcare organization transforming the delivery of primary and urgent care through an innovative employer-sponsored telehealth model. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join their established clinical team. This is an exceptional opportunity to practice medicine in a fully remote, collaborative environment where physicians are supported by experienced clinical colleagues, dedicated nursing staff, and streamlined technology that allows them to focus on patient care, not administrative burden. The physician will provide comprehensive virtual primary and urgent care to patients nationwide through secure video visits and messaging while delivering a high-quality, relationship-centered care experience.

- 100% remote position
- Monday-Friday schedule | No weekends or overnight call
- Four weeks (20 days) of paid time off
- Collaborative, physician-led culture with excellent work-life balance
- Dedicated onsite nursing support for care coordination
- Modern technology with optional AI-assisted documentation

- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team consisting of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and Licensed Practical Nurses.
- Partner with the clinical team to develop and enhance technology that improves patient care and the provider experience.
- Support clinical education and marketing initiatives as needed.
Qualifications (Required)
- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license in an Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) state.
- Minimum of one year of outpatient clinical practice as a Family Medicine or Primary Care Physician.

- A compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centered approach to care.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Current participation in the IMLC or active medical licenses in multiple states.
- Spanish bilingual.
- Previous telemedicine experience.
Licensure: One IMLC State Is Enough
You only need to be licensed in one participating State of Principal License (SPL) under the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact. As long as you hold a full, unrestricted medical license in an eligible SPL and meet the IMLC requirements, you can use the compact's expedited process to obtain licensure in additional participating states, and additional state licenses are reimbursed.
