Sentara Health Plans is hiring a Prevention Nurse Specialist!

This is a remote PRN status position within day shift hours.

This is not a work from home role and requires onsite participation across the region. Travel is reimbursed

As a PRN position, this position is not eligible for benefits.

Required Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Virginia or multistate license (MSL))

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or non-degree RN diploma

BLS Certification

Minimum 5 years' experience working as a registered nurse

Active, unrestricted driver's license required for regional travel

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in community nursing

Experience in health prevention and/or health education

Experience providing care to patients with diabetes or cardiac risk factors

Education:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or non-degree RN diploma

Certification:

  • BLS Certification
