As a remote mental health counselor, you will primarily conduct therapy sessions via telehealth platforms. • Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' histories of substance abuse and associated mental health conditions during initial consultations.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address both addiction and any co-occurring disorders, integrating techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI).
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions virtually, ensuring engagement through interactive discussions and therapeutic techniques.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and case managers, to ensure a holistic approach to each client’s treatment.
• Support clients' families with educational resources and involvement strategies to promote a better understanding of addiction and recovery processes.
• Maintain precise and confidential records in compliance with relevant regulations and ethical standards to track client progress and treatment efficacy.

The individuals you will serve are diverse, encompassing various backgrounds and circumstances. Many clients are at different stages in their recovery journey, requiring a counselor who can respond flexibly to their unique needs. Your role is crucial in empowering them to regain control over their lives and achieve long-term sobriety.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master's degree or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is essential.
• Strong foundation in addiction counseling principles and practices, demonstrating an understanding of the recovery process.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices related to substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.
• Exceptional therapeutic skills, with the ability to establish rapport and motivate clients through their recovery journeys.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, necessary for effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary treatment team.

• Experience in telehealth counseling environments is highly beneficial, as well as familiarity with the latest technologies for remote therapy delivery.
• Demonstrated experience in group counseling and leading psychoeducational workshops.
• Previous work within multidisciplinary teams and an understanding of integrated care models in substance abuse treatment.

• Attractive salary range of USD 70,000 to 85,000 per year, commensurate with experience and credentials.
