• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to understand the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based methodologies, tailoring interventions to align with patient preferences and family dynamics.
• Implement various psychotherapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to address the emotional and psychological challenges faced by patients.
• Maintain meticulous, accurate, and timely clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and integrity of patient data.
• Engage in inter-disciplinary collaboration with psychologists, psychiatrists, and nursing staff to coordinate holistic care and ensure consistency in treatment delivery.
• Facilitate education sessions both for patients and their families about mental health issues, illness progression, community resources, and available support services.
• Participate in peer review and case consultation meetings to enhance care quality through shared feedback and continuous learning.
• Adhere strictly to ethical guidelines as delineated by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), ensuring the highest professional standards are met.

As a Licensed Master Social Worker, you will primarily serve individuals and families facing terminal illnesses and the emotional complexities arising from these life circumstances. Understanding grief, loss, and coping strategies will be central to your role, empowering them through supportive counseling and practical resources amid their challenging journeys.

• A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid LMSW license to practice in New York State.
• A minimum of three years of experience in clinical social work, particularly in settings that emphasize mental health counseling or hospice care.
• Comprehensive knowledge of psychotherapy interventions, particularly those relevant to end-of-life care and adjustment disorders.
