Wise Recovery Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) for a full-time remote position. This role operates entirely in a remote capacity, allowing you to work from your home office while connecting with clients via telehealth technologies. We utilize advanced electronic health record systems, including AVATAR, ensuring seamless documentation and communication with both clients and healthcare professionals.

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews, documenting client history and treatment progress from initial consultation through to discharge.
• Perform comprehensive evaluations of clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health, utilizing standardized assessment tools.
• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities to enhance client engagement and outcomes.
• Regularly monitor and assess client progress, making data-driven adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers, to ensure holistic care for clients.
• Provide comprehensive follow-up services for clients transitioning from inpatient care, ensuring continuity of care and addressing any barriers to recovery.
• Educate and support family members and primary caregivers in managing their loved ones' mental health challenges, promoting a supportive home environment.

The clients we serve at Wise Recovery span various demographics and backgrounds, including those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and relationship challenges. • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.
• Successful completion of national examinations, including the NCE and/or the NCMHCE.
• Strong foundation in ethical practice and clinical guidelines as set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor in a diverse environment, particularly in teletherapy.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems with a focus on quality and compliance.
• Understanding of co-occurring disorders and effective strategies for addressing underlying physical and emotional health conditions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, facilitating effective collaboration with clients and team members.
• Strong interpersonal skills, complemented by a caring and sympathetic approach to client interactions.
