We understand that every individual's journey to mental well-being is unique, requiring tailored support and compassionate care. Our organization is committed to the highest standards of mental health service delivery, working collaboratively with various healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for our clients.

Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing you to provide mental health counseling from the comfort of your own space. Our virtual environment promotes flexibility while still offering a collaborative approach with our team of specialists. You will have access to the latest digital tools, including electronic health record systems like AVATAR, which streamline documentation and enable effective communication with colleagues and clients. The supportive ethos at Wise Recovery Counseling Center nurtures a strong sense of community among staff, even in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations, including preliminary interviews, to establish each client's needs and challenges.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans that reflect the unique circumstances, goals, and values of individuals, couples, families, and group clients.
  • Lead individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based methodologies and therapeutic techniques to facilitate healing and growth.
  • Monitor client progress throughout treatment, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals—such as psychiatrists, primary care doctors, nurses, and social workers—to create cohesive treatment plans that address all aspects of a client’s well-being.
  • Manage referrals, ensuring timely support and care provision for clients requiring additional services or interventions.
  • Offer guidance and resources to family members and caregivers, equipping them with strategies to support the mental and emotional health of their loved ones.
  • Proactively identify and address behaviors that may impede recovery, employing preventative measures to facilitate ongoing mental health improvement.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Wise Recovery Counseling Center, you will primarily work with diverse populations within the community facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional disorders. You will play a critical role in offering culturally sensitive approaches that respect the varied backgrounds, beliefs, and life experiences of each client.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts is essential.
  • Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for documenting client progress and collaborating with colleagues.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding in all interactions.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience as a mental health counselor with a demonstrated history of providing effective treatment.
  • Expertise in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to enhance client care delivery.
  • Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and the impact of physical health conditions on mental wellness.
  • A familiarity with best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is highly desirable.
  • In-depth understanding of pharmacological interventions and their effects on client care.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, reflecting your experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Robust healthcare benefits, ensuring you and your family have access to medical and mental health services.

  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay, supporting your work-life balance.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, fostering an environment of growth and learning.
  • A collaborative workplace where team members actively support one another and share insights.
