This position is hybrid, combining onsite support in designated region with remote responsibilities supporting virtual employee onboarding. This job promotes health and safety to all employees by facilitating an employee health program which includes disease detection, prevention, and treatment. Provides for the delivery of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Standards for Nursing Practice. Follows up on employee illnesses and injuries. Assists licensed and ancillary team members with assigned responsibilities. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team and coordinates delivery of plan of care.

Education

Required -Registered nurse diploma.

Preferred - Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.


Work Experience

Required -3 years of clinical, occupational health and/or employee health experience.


Certifications

Required - Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice.

Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.

  • Ability to travel throughout and between facilities.


Job Duties

  • Gathers and integrates patient data to assist in the development and implementation of an individualized plan of care.

  • Delegates and assigns appropriate nursing interventions to licensed and unlicensed team members within their scope of practice.

  • Administers indications and prescribed therapies utilizing appropriate reference materials (PDR, nurses drug guide, C-DAN Manual, etc.).

  • Evaluates progress toward expected outcomes throughout continuum of care and collaborates in the revision of a plan of care as indicated.

  • Promotes health and safety to all employees based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the ages of patients/customers served in assigned area.

  • Communicates critical information to team members, patients and families.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge and certification through continuing education and personal development.

  • Coordinates monthly tuberculosis screening program.

  • Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.

  • Performs other related duties as required.
