Shadow To Light Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to join our team in Harrisonburg, Virginia. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide vital mental health support to individuals and families through telehealth services. Work Environment

This role is remote, enabling you to provide therapy services from the comfort of your own environment. The schedule typically runs from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, facilitating a structured workday that aligns with most clients' availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver virtual therapy sessions to clients seeking support for a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment where clients feel comfortable to share their experiences and challenges openly.
  • Collaborate with clients to establish personalized treatment goals and develop strategies to achieve them, using ongoing assessments to track progress.
  • Design, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans that draw on established therapeutic frameworks and modalities.
  • Utilize telehealth technology effectively, ensuring seamless communication and engagement with clients via various digital platforms.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client sessions, adhering to ethical guidelines and legal standards in mental health care.
  • Participate in continuous professional development opportunities, keeping abreast of emerging trends, research, and practices in the mental health field.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients vary in age, background, and mental health needs. You will work with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, providing age-appropriate interventions and support. The emphasis on individual wellness allows for tailored approaches that consider cultural, social, and personal factors influencing mental health. Through sustained engagement, you will facilitate meaningful changes in clients' lives, enhancing their coping skills and resilience.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is essential.
  • Current licensure as a LMFT, LCSW, or LPC is required to practice as a mental health counselor.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing therapeutic services and treatment planning is needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in a virtual therapy context, are fundamental for building rapport with clients.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and telehealth platforms, ensuring that technological barriers do not impede client access to care.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
