Shadow To Light Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a remote full-time capacity. Work Environment

This remote position allows counselors to work from the comfort of their own homes while remaining part of a supportive and dynamic team located in Norfolk, Virginia. Our outpatient facility emphasizes a collaborative and focused approach to therapy, with a strong emphasis on work-life balance. The work schedule consists of Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring regular hours and predictable workweeks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct virtual therapy sessions via video conferencing tools, ensuring a comfortable and confidential environment for client discussions.
  • Create a trusting rapport with clients, allowing them to openly discuss personal challenges and emotional difficulties.
  • Collaborate with clients to establish clear and achievable treatment goals, personalized to each individual's needs and circumstances.
  • Design and implement tailored treatment plans that reflect best practices and the evolving needs of clients throughout their therapy journey.
  • Utilize electronic health records and online therapy platforms to document client progress and manage scheduling effectively.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through training sessions and supervision, maintaining ethical standards and clinical excellence.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our focus encompasses a diverse range of clients, including individuals coping with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, and other mental health disorders. As a mental health counselor, you will be instrumental in providing support to a variety of age groups and backgrounds, fostering resilience and personal growth among your clients.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
  • Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) that allows independent practice.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in providing therapy and developing treatment plans in a clinical setting.
  • Exceptional virtual communication skills with a focus on building rapport and trust in an online environment.
  • Proficiency in using online platforms for therapy, including knowledge of telehealth best practices.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or other approaches.
  • Background in working with specific populations such as children, adolescents, or trauma survivors.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems to facilitate efficient documentation and client tracking.
Compensation and Benefits

Shadow To Light Therapy offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to an attractive salary, our benefits package includes:
