The Crisis Preparation & Psychiatry Center is actively seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) for a full-time, remote position. • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, addressing their emotional and psychological needs.
• Provide documentation of client interactions and treatment plans in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools to evaluate client needs and monitor progress towards treatment goals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement positive behavior support plans for clients, ensuring that their needs are met holistically.
• Serve as a liaison to state agencies and community partners, facilitating access to additional resources and support systems as required.
• Participate actively in the agency's licensing and accreditation processes, contributing to the continuous improvement of service quality.
• Engage in professional development opportunities, including attending conferences and participation in statewide meetings related to mental health services.
• Promote the agency’s mission, values, and principles within the community and foster relationships with external organizations to further our outreach efforts.

Your work will directly impact diverse patient populations, including individuals struggling with mental health challenges, substance use issues, and those with developmental disabilities. By providing compassionate and expert guidance, you will empower clients to navigate their unique journeys towards recovery, fostering an environment in which they feel supported and understood.

• A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field is required.
• Current, independent LMHC license issued by the state of Florida is mandatory.
• Proven ability to maintain detailed clinical records and generate comprehensive reports.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.
• Sound clinical judgment and decision-making abilities in alignment with professional standards.

• Experience with telehealth platforms and remote counseling techniques.
• Demonstrated expertise in working with diverse populations, including those with complex mental health needs.
• Previous involvement in professional development activities such as seminars or peer consultations.
