Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough virtual psychosocial assessments that identify clientsโ€™ strengths, needs, and areas for intervention, leveraging tools such as DSM-5 for diagnostic purposes.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans that align with clientsโ€™ goals, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, adapting therapeutic approaches to meet the diverse needs of clients, including those dealing with trauma, co-occurring disorders, and emotional dysregulation.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and case managers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Advocate tirelessly for clientsโ€™ rights, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services within the community, and supporting them as they navigate the healthcare system.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of client interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes within electronic health records, ensuring compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through team meetings, case conferences, and educational opportunities, continuously enhancing your clinical skills and knowledge base.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be individuals facing acute and chronic substance use disorders and accompanying mental health challenges. You will work with a diverse clientele that includes adults from various backgrounds, each with unique stories and struggles. This diverse patient population requires sensitivity and cultural competence, enhancing our commitment to equitable care.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California is mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience providing direct clinical social work services, ideally in substance use treatment or mental health settings.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in conducting diagnostic assessments, interpreting results, and creating tailored treatment plans.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a strong emphasis on rapport-building with diverse populations.
  • A solid commitment to cultural competence, social justice, and ethical standards in practice.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with evidence-based practices, including DBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
  • Proven track record of independently managing a caseload while demonstrating clinical skills through hands-on client interactions.
  • Previous experience in a detox or inpatient treatment environment is highly regarded.
