This full-time position allows you to leverage your expertise in social work to make a profound impact on individuals overcoming substance use challenges.

About the Organization

At Summit Pacific Mental Healthcare, we pride ourselves on our commitment to accessible and high-quality mental health care for individuals of various backgrounds and age groups. Our outpatient clinic specializes in both the diagnosis and treatment of a broad spectrum of mental health conditions, allowing us to cater to a wide range of client needs. Through evidence-based therapies and a holistic approach, we empower our clients to heal and thrive.

This role offers the flexibility of a remote setting, reflecting our commitment to promoting work-life balance while addressing the needs of our clients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team composed of specialists from various fields, including addiction medicine and psychiatry, all dedicated to providing client-centered care. The position may involve occasional virtual meetings and team consults to ensure cohesive treatment strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices tailored to detox needs, encompassing cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-focused approaches.
  • Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans which clearly define therapeutic goals and specific intervention strategies, monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Work closely with psychiatrists and broader medical teams to ensure integrated and effective treatment plans that account for both mental and physical health considerations.
  • Provide crisis intervention services swiftly and sensitively, responding to emergencies with risk assessments and safety planning to safeguard clients during their recovery process.
  • Create and facilitate engaging psychoeducation classes and support groups to enhance clients' understanding of their conditions and foster resilience within the community.
  • Document all client interactions accurately, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and legal standards, while maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all records.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily serves individuals in recovery from substance use disorders, including those undergoing detoxification. Clients may present complex mental health issues alongside their substance use challenges, requiring a compassionate approach to treatment that emphasizes resilience and recovery. Our diverse clientele necessitates a culturally competent lens to help each individual navigate their unique journey while promoting sustained mental wellness.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • Current and unrestricted state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • A minimum of two yearsโ€™ experience working in a mental health setting, particularly with patients facing substance use and related challenges.
  • Proficient understanding of contemporary evidence-based therapeutic methods and interventions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a keen ability to build trust with clients and colleagues.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in outpatient mental health settings, with exposure to detox and addiction treatment practices.
  • Familiarity with digital health platforms and teletherapy modalities.
  • Training in trauma-informed care and harm reduction strategies.
Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, in addition to a sign-on bonus as an incentive for joining our dedicated team. Employees benefit from comprehensive health insurance plans, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as retirement savings options with employer contributions.
