• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to develop personalized treatment plans using solution-focused interventions and evidence-based practices.
• Implement various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other relevant techniques tailored to individual client needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurately document clinical records while adhering to HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
• Engage in collaborative care by working closely with a dedicated treatment team, facilitating effective communication and coordinated client services.
• Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings aiming to enhance treatment outcomes and service delivery.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available resources—empowering them to take an active role in their care.
• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in the mental health field to ensure that your therapeutic approach remains current and effective.

You will primarily serve clients who are addressing challenges such as depression, anxiety, and trauma. Our client base is diverse, encompassing various demographic backgrounds, which requires cultural competency and adaptability in your therapeutic approach. The counselors at Backpack Mental Support, Inc. are integral in guiding these individuals toward recovery and improved mental health through personalized care and compassionate support.

• A minimum of a Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Possession of an active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Georgia.
• Strong foundation in solution-based psychotherapy interventions along with proven ability to customize approaches based on the unique needs of each client.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and collaborate with team members.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities to navigate complex client scenarios.
• A demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and contributing to a supportive team culture.

• Previous experience working in a telehealth environment is highly desirable, as this role emphasizes remote client interaction.
• Familiarity with various mental health diagnostic tools and electronic health record systems, streamlining patient assessments and documentation.
• Experience with a range of therapeutic techniques and an eagerness to integrate new methods to improve patient care.
