Job description

Position Overview

Emerald Point Psychological Solutions is seeking a dedicated and qualified Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic team in a full-time, remote telehealth setting. If you are a mental health advocate passionate about providing compassionate, quality care, and you meet our experience requirements, we invite you to apply.

About the Organization

At Emerald Point Psychological Solutions, we pride ourselves on being a supportive partner for mental healthcare professionals across the United States. Our organization empowers counselors by providing large-scale referral systems, administrative support, and community resources, allowing providers the freedom to concentrate on what they do best: delivering exceptional mental health care. Powered by a knowledgeable team with deep insights into healthcare systems and mental health advocacy, we are committed to improving mental well-being nationwide.

Work Environment

This role is designed for a remote work setting that offers flexibility and convenience. As technology continues to evolve, we utilize secure teletherapy platforms to facilitate therapy sessions, ensuring that our counselors can interact with clients seamlessly from any location with internet access. Our virtual environment fosters collaboration among colleagues while remaining focused on providing an engaging and supportive experience for clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to understand each clientโ€™s unique background, challenges, and needs, followed by the development of individualized treatment plans tailored to promote optimal therapeutic outcomes.
  • Deliver high-quality therapy services, including individual, family, and group therapy, utilizing evidence-based practices. For instance, a counselor might implement cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques during sessions to address clientsโ€™ anxiety disorders.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of mental health professionals, such as psychologists, social workers, and psychiatrists, to ensure holistic and integrated care for clients, discussing case details in team meetings or case reviews.
  • Document client progress notes, treatment plans, and additional relevant information responsibly, adhering strictly to organizational policies and HIPAA regulations to uphold confidentiality and compliance standards.
  • Participate proactively in clinical supervision, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills, stay updated on best practices, and improve service quality.
  • Maintain a strong awareness of trends and emerging research in the mental health field to inform and innovate therapy approaches, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Uphold ethical guidelines and confidentiality requirements meticulously, reinforcing trust with clients while aligning with the professional standards of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population ranging from children to adults, presenting various mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders. Your role will involve building meaningful therapeutic relationships that contribute to clients achieving their mental health goals within the comfort of their homes.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Counseling or a related field from an accredited program is required.
  • A valid and active licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Oregon is a must.
  • A minimum of three years of post-graduate counseling experience, demonstrating the ability to practice independently without supervision.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills coupled with a compassionate demeanor are crucial for building rapport with clients and fostering a healing environment.
  • Proficient computer skills, with familiarity in telehealth platforms, electronic health records (EHR), and other technology used to enhance remote service delivery.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with diverse populations and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities will be advantageous.
  • Prior experience in teletherapy or virtual service delivery is a plus, enabling smooth transitions for clients receiving care.
Compensation and Benefits
  • We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $105,000, which is commensurate with your experience and caseload.
  • Enjoy a flexible schedule that allows you to design your work hours, enhancing work-life balance while providing the freedom to work from anywhere.
  • In addition to a competitive salary, there are opportunities for performance-based bonuses and incentives, acknowledging and rewarding your contributions and dedication.
  • Participate in a supportive virtual work environment, with regular supervision and comprehensive professional development initiatives aimed at enhancing your skills.
  • Access specialized teletherapy tools and resources that support your practice and contribute to effective client outcomes.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Emerald Point Psychological Solutions, we are committed to the professional development of our counselors. With opportunities for ongoing training, mentorship, and leadership pathways, you can advance your counseling practice while contributing to best practices in mental health care.
