This role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely, providing flexibility for our counselors. • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and risk assessments to create a comprehensive understanding of the client’s needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that resonate with each patient's unique circumstances.
• Utilize trauma-informed, evidence-based modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to deliver effective therapeutic support.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and stabilization services for patients experiencing acute emotional distress.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach in patient care, facilitating discussions with other mental health professionals when adjusting treatment protocols.
• Monitor and assess patient progress regularly, making necessary modifications to treatment plans to reflect changes in mental health status.
• Educate patients and families about mental health issues, supporting them in developing coping strategies and accessing community resources.
• Assist in crafting discharge and aftercare plans designed to promote long-term recovery and integration into daily life.
• Adhere strictly to ethical, legal, and organizational standards regarding mental health treatment practices.
• Participate in ongoing professional development by engaging in training, supervision, and peer consultations.

In this role, you will work with a varied clientele that includes individuals coping with chronic mental illnesses, trauma, and various psychosocial challenges. Your goal will be to help these clients navigate their symptoms and build sustainable skills that empower them to lead fulfilling lives. You will be equipped with the resources needed to tailor interventions appropriately, reflecting the background and unique conditions of each patient.

• Must possess an active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in the state of Missouri.
• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a mental health or psychiatric setting is essential for success in this role.
• Strong crisis management and intervention skills to effectively support patients facing urgent psychological challenges.
• Experience with diverse populations, particularly those dealing with chronic illnesses and mental health disorders.
• Solid understanding of HIPAA guidelines and ethical practices concerning mental health laws in Missouri.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and advocacy capabilities are critical for effective patient engagement.

While two years of relevant experience is required, preference will be given to candidates who have experience in outpatient settings or clinical environments, where they have successfully employed evidence-based treatment modalities.

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with performance-based incentives.
