Job description

Position: Technology VMO Manager
Location: REMOTE
Duration: 12 months contract to hire
Description:
The Technology VMO Manager leads the staff and processes related to the procure-to-pay and category / vendor management. This role collaborates with the Senior Manager for Technology VMO to develop and administrate procurement policy and procedure improvements.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide the agile project management skills needed to assess and restructure procurement processes and implement any related changes as needed.
  • Manage the day-to-day approvals and workloads of the VMO's Technology Procurement team to ensure that Technology spend aligns to the overall sourcing strategy.
  • Monitor the procured software license and collaborate with Technology Software Asset Management team to ensure audit compliance.
  • Develop the policies, systems and processes necessary to provide repeatable results and documented assumptions to forecasts and costing.
  • Uncover savings opportunities and collaborate with Indirect Procurement and Technology Vendor Managers to jointly lead the execution of industry's best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT, finance, and procurement teams to optimize renewals.
  • Provide detailed reports and analysis on usage trends and cost implications.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs.
  • Drive procurement decisions based on cost, scenario analysis, and market trends.
  • Hire, train, and manage procurement staff.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, finance, management, supply chain, economics, or technology
  • 7-10 years of IT-related internal use services and software procurement License management experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in a people leadership role
  • Advanced use of Microsoft applications to include Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Experience with ServiceNow ITBM (IT Business Management).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in addition to presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders including senior leadership.
  • Strong data analysis and financial modeling abilities regarding license costs and volume-based variables.
  • Track record of balancing competing priorities with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines in an agile work environment.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills with the ability to be persuasive and hold partners and coworkers accountable.
  • Strong contract law, risk management, and business planning skills.
  • CPSM, CPSD, CTPRP, or PMP certification is a plus.
  • Master's degree in business administration, engineering, finance, management, supply chain, economics, or technology is a plus.
