StrongMynd Plus Support, Inc. is actively seeking dedicated and bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists to join our remote team in El Paso, Texas. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to provide specialized therapy to children and families grappling with developmental and intellectual difficulties within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, allowing therapists flexibility and convenience while they conduct therapy sessions in the comfort of family homes or via telehealth. Therapists will engage in meaningful interactions, ensuring a supportive therapeutic environment through virtual platforms. While working independently, you will be a crucial part of a committed team that collaborates to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions or group therapy sessions focusing on the therapeutic needs of children and their families.
  • Implement strategies to address anger management, coping mechanisms, and social skills, effectively reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious actions and violence.
  • Facilitate enhanced decision-making capacities for both children and caregivers when addressing behavioral challenges at home.
  • Collaborate regularly with the Child Family Treatment Team and other multidisciplinary professionals to ensure comprehensive support for the child and family unit.
  • Complete and submit essential documentation, including intake evaluations, ongoing treatment plans, and progress notes, in a timely and organized manner.
  • Participate in team meetings to exchange ideas and insights that contribute to improved client care and treatment methodologies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is to work with children aged 3-20 who are experiencing a range of developmental and intellectual challenges. Therapists will leverage their expertise to provide culturally competent and individualized support, particularly for bilingual families who may benefit from therapy in either Spanish or Portuguese. This role ensures that these vulnerable populations receive essential therapeutic interventions designed to improve their emotional, social, and behavioral outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • A valid and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
  • A current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for potential in-home sessions.
  • Willingness to undergo a thorough criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
Preferred Experience
  • Flexible availability for evenings or weekends, ideally committing to 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours from 4-7 pm.
  • Experience with positive behavior support strategies.
  • Prior work experience with children and adolescents, especially those with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD).
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience.
