In this position, you will be supporting litigation, claims, insurance, and the legal operations of the Legal Department.

What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

  • Supports Convergint’s certificate of insurance (COI) program and provides guidance and training to field offices in the production of COIs.
  • Prepares insurance applications, renewal materials, and supporting documentation by gathering underwriting data and coordinating with internal stakeholders and brokers.
  • Assists the Legal Department in all aspects including providing prompt responses to customers and colleagues, tracking and communicating litigation and other matters and maintaining organization and efficiency within the Legal Department.
  • Researches legal issues, case law, regulatory requirements, and insurance coverage matters to support litigation strategy, compliance initiatives, and risk management activities.
  • Reviews contracts, incident reports, and related documentation to identify potential legal or insurance issues and escalate as appropriate.
  • Supports corporate entity organization and corporate registrations, as needed.
  • Tracks legal requests to the Legal Department, insurance claims, litigation matters to ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Communicates with internal teams and external partners to gather information necessary for claims handling, insurance renewals, and legal matters.
  • Drafts letters and prepares presentation materials to address legal matters and risk mediation controls.
  • Draft policies, governance and procedures for insurance and other legal ops programs.
  • Supports lawyers in the Legal Department through legal request intake review, invoice support, mailing letters, and opening mail, and other administrative duties.
  • Performs other duties as requested or required.

  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to manage a multitude of projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent judgment and discretion, especially regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Solid research and analysis skills.
  • Proficient in SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Requirements:

Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience Preferred: 3-5 years paralegal or equivalent. Paralegal certificate not required.

Hourly Range: $33/hour to $43/hour
