The Fall 2026 (September - December) Internship Program provides students with on-the-job training and real-world experiences. Interns get the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, from start-up to Fortune 500 clients. Training is structured as a case study to build a general understanding of controls and of executing an audit in all stages, planning to reporting, before joining an audit team.
 
The Information Assurance Services practice at Aprio creates value for our clients. We do this by evaluating companies' Risk Management and Compliance programs and provide recommendations for improvement that allow businesses to operate confidently in a rapidly changing technology-based business environment. Our interns are exposed to multiple industry-leading information security and attestation standards and frameworks, such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, NIST 800-53, SOC 1, SOC 2, and HITRUST.
As an IAS Intern, you'll play a key role in helping businesses navigate risk and compliance. Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting audit teams on projects across various industries and standards
  • Drafting project plans with Engagement Managers
  • Developing document request lists and supporting documentation for an audit
  • Reviewing evidence provided by clients and executing tests of controls
  • Communicating with clients on a daily basis
Internship Graduation Recommendation:
  • Fall Interns Recommended Graduation: May 2026, December 2026, May 2027
