Senior Microsoft Purview Engineer - Remote 24 month Contract
About the Role
Mainz Brady Group is seeking a Senior Microsoft Purview Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise data governance, compliance, and information protection solutions. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on Microsoft Purview, DLP, automation, integrations, and securing sensitive data across Microsoft 365, Azure, hybrid, and SaaS environments.
Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy Microsoft Purview solutions
  • Build and manage DLP, sensitivity labels, insider risk, retention, and eDiscovery policies
  • Integrate Purview with Defender, Entra ID, Sentinel, SIEM/SOAR tools, and SaaS platforms
  • Automate workflows using PowerShell, Graph API, Logic Apps, and KQL
  • Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot governance and compliance controls
  • Partner with Security, Legal, Privacy, and Compliance teams
Requirements
  • 7+ years in Security, Data Governance, or Enterprise IT
  • 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft Purview experience
  • Strong expertise with DLP, Information Protection, Insider Risk, and Records Management
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, PowerShell, Graph API, and KQL
  • Knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, NIST, and Zero Trust principles
Nice to Have
  • SC-400, SC-100, or MS-500 certifications
  • Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, GCP, or Salesforce integrations
  • SIEM/SOAR experience with Sentinel or CrowdStrike
  • Familiarity with AI governance and Copilot/ChatGPT security controls
