The Retail Banking Offer Strategist is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and execution of targeted initiatives to grow the bank's deposit portfolio, with a primary focus on cash incentives and promotional offers. This role integrates product management, growth marketing, competitive analysis, and data-driven decision-making to drive customer acquisition, enhance engagement, and increase long-term customer value. This position plays a key role in shaping offer strategy, optimizing performance, and maintaining a competitive edge in the consumer banking market.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You will design and manage incentive programs like account opening bonuses and referral rewards to drive new customer growth.
  • You will develop targeting strategies, eligibility criteria, and financial models to optimize ROI, CPA, CLV, and customer quality.
  • You will collaborate across teams to launch, monitor, and evaluate offers while ensuring financial viability, risk alignment, and compliance.
  • You will conduct A/B testing, cohort analysis, and funnel performance reviews to improve offer effectiveness and product adoption.
  • You will use insights and market intelligence to guide product enhancements, promotional strategies, and strategic recommendations.
  • You will benchmark competitor offers and industry trends to identify gaps, opportunities, and maintain a competitive edge.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or related field and 5+ years experience in growth marketing, product management, or retail banking; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience

  • Proven experience designing and managing cash offers or promotional programs.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, or PowerBI.
  • Experience conducting competitive analysis and market research.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Deep understanding of deposit products and consumer banking trends.
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to assess program profitability and optimize for long-term value.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product strategy, finance, legal, and risk management.
  • Ability to synthesize market intelligence into actionable strategies that support competitive positioning.
  • Comfort presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership and influencing decision-making.
  • Proficiency in A/B testing and experimentation frameworks to drive continuous improvement.
  • Solid PC skills with spreadsheet and word processing software, including ability to function proficiently in a Microsoft Office environment (Word, Excel ,PowerPoint).
