SUMMARY
We are seeking a Business Analyst to support the design, development, and enhancement of web-based applications. This role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business needs are accurately translated into clear, actionable requirements that result in intuitive, scalable, and high-quality web solutions. The Business Analyst must have strong analytical skills, experience working in Agile environments, and a solid understanding of modern web application workflows and user experience considerations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Requirements & Analysis
    • Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for web applications
    • Translate business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and confirm business objectives
    • Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies across systems, workflows, and user journeys
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Act as the primary point of contact between business users, product owners, UX, and development teams
    • Facilitate workshops, backlog refinement sessions, and requirement review meetings
    • Support decision-making by clearly articulating tradeoffs, impacts, and priorities
  • Agile Delivery Support
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies (backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
    • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog in partnership with product owners
    • Clarify requirements for developers during implementation and respond to questions promptly
    • Validate completed work against acceptance criteria
  • UX & Web Application Focus
    • Partner with UX designers to ensure requirements support usable, accessible, and user-centered designs
    • Review wireframes, prototypes, and UI flows for alignment with business needs
    • Ensure requirements consider responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility standards (WCAG)
  • Testing & Quality Assurance
    • Support UAT by creating test scenarios and validating expected outcomes
    • Assist in defect triage and ensure issues are clearly documented and prioritized
    • Verify that delivered solutions meet business, functional, and compliance requirements
  • Documentation & Continuous Improvement
    • Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation (requirements, process maps, decision logs)
    • Identify opportunities to streamline processes or improve application usability
    • Contribute to best practices for requirements management and Agile execution
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting web or digital applications
  • Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Experience working with UX and development teams on web applications
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Experience with databases and writing SQL queries
  • Experience with APIs including API testing tools like Postman
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Experience with CMS platforms or backend integrations
  • Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) at a conceptual level
  • Experience in regulated or enterprise environments (insurance, healthcare, finance)
  • Familiarity with accessibility and usability standards
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar
