About the role
  • We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Technical Project Manager (PM) to lead and manage technical deployments.
  • This role combines traditional project management responsibilities with hands-on client workshopping and technical discovery. The ideal candidate will own end-to-end delivery of complex enterprise client implementations, acting as both a project leader and functional consultant to ensure customers successfully deploy and adopt the Rimsys platform.
What you'll do
  • Project Planning and Initiation:
    • Oversee multiple, simultaneous projects, ensuring project expectations/timelines are met, within budget, and issues are addressed.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation (e.g., charters, project plans, RAID log, etc.) based on client requirements and resource availability.
    • Identify potential risks and create mitigation strategies.
  • Project Implementation:
    • Act as a functional consultant for clients. Understand and analyze client business requirements, provide mentorship on efficient configuration/data options to meet client needs, and prepare clients for deployment.
    • Manage technical discovery sessions to gather customer requirements on the product to achieve their business goals.
    • Keep abreast of new releases and product functionality to ensure successful implementation for clients.
    • Assist in training and educating clients' Super User/Admin teams on platform functionality and configuration.
    • Collaborate with Customer Success and Support to ensure successful onboarding.
  • Team Coordination:
    • Facilitate team meetings and maintain documentation that is shared with clients, internal team members, and management.
    • Lead, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development/operations, product management, regulatory, sales, and other relevant experts to ensure the product exceeds customer expectations.
    • Foster strong relationships with internal team members and client team members to develop a collaborative and productive team environment.
    • Assign tasks, set clear expectations, and ensure each team member understands their role and responsibilities.
  • Progress Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Own delivery against timelines and milestones, proactively correcting course when needed.
    • Keep stakeholders informed through regular status updates, reports, and presentations.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Establish clear and timely lines of communication to effectively communicate project status, progress, risks, and issues to clients, colleagues, and project stakeholders keeping everyone informed and aligned.
    • Escalate and support exceptional client situations.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks and issues that could impact project success, and make necessary adjustments.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation and contingency plans.
    • Address challenges as they arise, making data-driven decisions to keep the project on track.
  • Change Management:
    • Manage changes to project scope, timeline, or resources, ensuring that changes are documented, communicated, and approved.
  • Resource Management:
    • Manage project resources, including budgets, and external vendors or contractors.
    • Optimize resource allocation to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Define and enforce quality standards for project deliverables.
    • Conduct regular reviews and testing to ensure that the project meets technical and functional requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
    • Apply insights from previous projects to enhance project management processes and practices.
Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as computer science, engineering, or business administration.
  • 5+ years of proven track record of successful project management, including managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Tempo, etc.), and techniques, as well as experience in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Eagerness to develop a solid understanding of the Rimsys platform and a working knowledge of MedTech Regulatory Affairs to help complex enterprise clients connect their business requirements to their Rimsys implementation.
  • Experience with database technologies such as Postgres, Oracle, and MySQL.
  • Experience with complex Excel data workbooks.
  • Ability to understand data structure, transformation, and quality.
  • Experience with implementing customer systems on a cloud-based SaaS infrastructure (one of AWS, Azure, or GCE), with working knowledge of SSO and APIs.
  • Ability to quickly grasp customer requirements and propose creative solutions.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build and foster good relationships.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities.

Preferred education and experience
  • Experience in (or exposure to) the medical device industry; with an ability to understand the unique needs of enterprise customers in this space.
  • Knowledge of SaaS business models and best practices, with a focus on delivering value and driving growth.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting methodologies (similar to support desk/QA experience).
  • Knowledge of eQMS/PLM/Enterprise ERP software tools.
  • Knowledge of MedTech Regulatory Affairs.
  • PMP Certification.
