Allina Healthcare, PC is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a fully remote position. As a vital member of our community health clinic, you will provide therapeutic services to help individuals, couples, and families navigate their mental health challenges. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clientsโ€™ mental and emotional well-being, utilizing various evaluation methods.
  • Evaluate individual clientsโ€™ needs, issues, and goals to develop tailored treatment plans that guide therapeutic interventions.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions that address a wide range of mental health concerns, employing evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Facilitate couples therapy sessions aimed at improving communication, resolving conflicts, and strengthening relationship dynamics.
  • Develop and adapt personalized treatment plans based on initial assessments and ongoing client feedback.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and session notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within an interdisciplinary team to create a well-rounded approach to client care.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and their families, ensuring that all parties are informed and involved in the treatment process.
  • Provide crisis intervention when necessary, supporting clients in acute distress with prompt, compassionate responses.
  • Stay updated on the latest methodologies, research, and best practices in marriage and family therapy through ongoing education.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and legal standards governing therapy practices, ensuring confidentiality and client rights are upheld.
  • Promote self-care among clients, encouraging engagement in wellness activities that foster resilience and emotional health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse population that includes adolescents, adults, and couples facing a variety of mental health challenges. Your focus will be on providing empathetic care and practical strategies tailored to each clientโ€™s unique circumstances, assisting them in achieving their therapeutic goals and enhancing their overall well-being.

Qualifications
  • Masterโ€™s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required.
  • Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the appropriate State Board.
  • Demonstrable experience providing individual and/or couples therapy is essential.
  • Competence in managing diverse client needs across various age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Demonstrated skills in completing thorough client assessments and developing effective treatment plans in a timely manner.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with proficiency in electronic health record systems highly preferred.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in addressing specific mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, and trauma.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual therapy techniques to enhance client engagement.
  • Previous experience working within community health settings or with organizations focused on mental health advocacy.
