Standard Job Description We are lockheed Martin You will be a Software Engineer Staff for the Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS) team. Our team is responsible for supporting the ground systems maintenance of the F-22 aircraft. IMIS hardware/software connects to the aircraft automating numerous processes to improve maintenance performance and reduce management, supervisory, and technical overhead.

This position is in Fort Worth, TX Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities.

Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.

Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of a combination of Linux, scripting/software development, and configuration management experience Technical Proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux ecosystem, Palo Alto firewalls, Windows Server/Client OS) Proficiency in Ansible, Python, Bash and other shell scripting Experience with revision control software (Bitbucket, Git, GitLab, GitLab CI) Development and management of DevOps deployment automation processes Desired Skills SE Linux: configuration and policy Identity Management systems including IDM (FreeIPA), LDAP and token-based authentication systems Knowledge of containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, containerized operating systems (bootc) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM templates).

Networking: Best practices with respect to Zero Trust Architecture Networking: Best practices with respect to Zero Trust Architecture Experience with Solaris 10 system administration, especially with respect to MLS Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Experience with Oracle Database and SQL Red Hat certifications (e.g., Red Hat RHCE, Red Hat RHCSA). For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
