JD:
Organization's DNS Infrastructure team looking for a Principal Production Engineer, sysadmin, system engineer, or devop type of person with experience in DNS, networking, OS, and coding. They'll be part of a team responsible for design, implementation, and operations of the DNS systems to deliver at-scale solutions. They will need to identify opportunities for automation and technology improvements and develop solutions in order to keep up with the changing needs of the company and the technology used. They will also be expected to deep dive into problems to solve them and research new technologies to evaluate or implement them. Responsibilities
Environment:: RHEL, Bind, PDNS, Ansible.
Coding: Perl, Python, C++, golang, etc.
Troubleshooting: Understanding of fundamental network and service protocols and how to diagnose them.
Development: Team members are expected to drive product improvement.
Attitude: Friendly, enjoys working with others and will keep up with and learn new technology.
Minimum Qualifications
BS degree or equivalent industry experience. Typical candidates have a BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or 5 years of equivalent experience.
Candidates must be comfortable coding and be willing to learn or code in a variety of languages. Perl,
Python, golang, PHP, and C++. (Not expecting someone to be an expert in all of them. :) )
Candidates must understand basic networking principles and can explain how and why packets flow the way they do.
Candidates must have a base understanding of RHEL and how to manage and troubleshoot such systems.
