Genesys empowers organizations of all sizes to improve loyalty and business outcomes by creating the best experiences for their customers and employees. Through Genesys Cloud, the AI-powered Experience Orchestration platform, organizations can accelerate growth by delivering empathetic, personalized experiences at scale to drive customer loyalty, workforce engagement, efficiency and operational improvements.

We employ more than 6,000 people across the globe who embrace empathy and cultivate collaboration to succeed. At Genesys, this work directly supports the accuracy and integrity of revenue reporting while enabling the business to bring innovative offerings to market with confidence. You will operate at the center of technical accounting, deal enablement, and process design, with visibility into enterprise-wide initiatives and the opportunity to drive continuous improvement across systems, controls, and policies.

  • Evaluate new products, business models, and contract structures, then translate accounting conclusions into clear, operational guidance for downstream teams.

  • Develop and maintain process documentation for all accounting memorandums, ensuring documentation is audit-ready and aligned with company policy.

  • Coordinate with our external auditors for the quarterly reviews and year-end audits, including discussing technical revenue accounting issues.

  • Strengthen month-end and quarter-end close activities by supporting financial reporting for complex deals and ensuring accounting outcomes are complete and well-documented.

  • Partner with Deal Desk, Sales, Product, Legal, and Finance to assess revenue implications of complex transactions and support timely deal execution.

  • Perform reviews of detailed technical accounting analysis on complex and financially significant arrangements and calculate and determine appropriate revenue recognition under ASC 606.

  • Review contract assessments, revenue calculations, and memos prepared by junior team members to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to policy.

  • Provide ongoing feedback and guidance to improve the quality and efficiency of team deliverables.

  • Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve consistency, efficiency, and scalability across revenue accounting processes.

  • Drive adoption of AI-enabled tools for contract analysis, memo drafting, and deal review support across the team.

  • Remain flexible and responsive to evolving priorities, taking on additional responsibilities as business needs change.

Minimum of 6 years of relevant accounting experience with hands-on SaaS/technology experience; prior Big 4 experience (3+ years) strongly preferred.

  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly growing and fast-paced remote-only environment.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of multiple concurrent and diversified tasks, while working with deadlines.

  • Problem solver: Candidate should be a strong, analytical problem solver with a common sense and practical solutions orientation with great attention to detail.
