  • Participate in optional monthly peer group meetings for collaborative learning and support within the counseling community.
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients about community recovery resources such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Smart Recovery, and Moderation Management, emphasizing their value even when used in conjunction with our services.
  • Encourage and motivate clients to utilize both clinical and community-based support systems during their recovery.
  • Minimize administrative burdens by leveraging our support team for scheduling, billing, and other back-end processes.
  • Create content for โ€œExpert Insightsโ€ in partnership with our Content Manager, sharing knowledge to enhance community support and patient engagement.
  • Conduct virtual support groups, contributing to peer-led resources while fostering community connections.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will guide them in navigating their unique goals within a harm-reduction framework, recognizing that each individual's journey is different.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid LCSW, LCSW-R, LMFT, or LMHC license in the state of New York.
  • Experience with evidence-based treatment modalities such as CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care.
