What is a remote retail?

A Remote Retail job involves selling products or providing customer service for a retail company from a remote location, often online or over the phone. Responsibilities may include processing orders, assisting customers, managing inventory, and handling sales inquiries. These roles can be in e-commerce, virtual customer support, or digital merchandising. Many Remote Retail jobs require strong communication skills and familiarity with online sales platforms.

What does a typical day look like for someone working in remote retail?

In a Remote Retail role, your day often involves assisting customers through live chat, email, or phone, processing online orders, and managing inventory or product listings virtually. You may also address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and collaborate with other remote team members or departments to ensure smooth operations. Regular online training sessions and virtual team meetings help keep you up to date on products and company policies. Work schedules can be flexible, but strong organization and time management are essential for meeting customer needs and achieving sales targets. This dynamic work environment allows for both independent tasks and collaborative projects, providing variety and opportunities for growth.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in remote retail, and why are they important?

To thrive in Remote Retail, you need strong sales acumen, product knowledge, and customer service skills, often supported by experience in e-commerce or retail roles. Familiarity with online retail platforms, point-of-sale (POS) software, customer relationship management (CRM) tools, and virtual communication systems is highly desirable. Excellent communication, self-motivation, and the ability to resolve issues independently help candidates excel in a virtual retail environment. These skills and qualities are essential for providing exceptional customer experiences and meeting sales goals while working remotely.

About the Role

Angi is seeking a Manager, Retail Partnerships to lead the day-to-day management of our key retail partnerships and help shape growth opportunities in close collaboration with senior leaders.

In this role, you will:

  • Surface insights and recommend actions to ensure Angi continues to deliver a best-in-class service experience – a job done well – through our retail partners

This is a high-visibility, cross-functional position ideal for someone who enjoys blending analytical rigor with relationship-building and project leadership. You’ll be a key member of Angi’s Retail Partnerships team, responsible for executing a strategy that advances Angi’s mission to get jobs done well, while developing as a future leader of the organization.

  • Lead analyses that surface actionable insights to guide partner and internal decisions, and work closely with cross-functional teams to implement them

  • Drive projects from scoping through execution by aligning stakeholders, managing timelines, and ensuring measurable outcomes

  • Partner with internal teams and external partners to identify ways to drive continuous growth while improving the customer experience

  • Prepare clear, concise presentations that summarize findings and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders; present those findings to key stakeholders

  • Balance strategic acumen with analytical ability to identify and execute on growth opportunities in a fast-paced environment

Who you are

  • 2-3 years of professional experience, such as management consulting, investment banking, or a fast-growing tech/marketplace environment

  • Exceptional quantitative skills and analytical aptitude; deep knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets and, ideally, SQL, with significant experience framing up analyses independently

  • Active use of AI tools to work smarter and move faster

  • Proven ability to translate data into strategic insights and action plans

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing stakeholders at multiple levels

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to build strong external partnerships

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient in PowerPoint/Google Slides

  • Creative problem-solver with a bias for action and excitement for collaborative work

  • Keen eye for detail, with strong quality-assurance habits

  • Interest in Angi, home services, marketplaces, and product-driven organizations

  • Willingness to travel on a quarterly cadence (when appropriate/required)

We value diversity

  • The salary band for this position ranges from $95,000 - $140,000 commensurate with experience and performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as cost of living.

  • This position will be eligible for a competitive year end performance bonus & equity package.
