The Retail Analytics amp; Market Intelligence Training Specialist serves as a critical link between market insights, retail execution, customer education, and business strategy. This role is responsible for gathering and analyzing market intelligence, identifying competitive trends, developing executive-level reporting, and delivering impactful training programs that support sales growth and product adoption.
Working closely with Strategic Accounts, Marketing, Sales, Customer Support, Technical Services, and Product Management teams, this position provides actionable insights that influence business decisions while ensuring retail partners are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to successfully represent our products.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, naturally curious, comfortable presenting to large audiences, and passionate about transforming data and market observations into meaningful business recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
Market Intelligence amp; Competitive Analysis
  • Collect, analyze, and report market intelligence from retail locations, competitive channels, industry trends, and customer interactions.
  • Conduct competitive retail audits, pricing reviews, merchandising evaluations, and product placement assessments.
  • Monitor market dynamics, product launches, assortment changes, and retail stocking strategies.
  • Identify emerging trends, opportunities, and risks impacting our products and its customers.
  • Develop executive-level summaries and actionable recommendations for leadership teams.
  • Maintain ongoing analysis of competitive products, promotional activity, and retail performance metrics.
Data Analytics amp; Business Reporting
  • Analyze sales, market, and customer data to identify growth opportunities and business insights.
  • Develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports highlighting key performance indicators, market trends, and strategic recommendations.
  • Create executive dashboards and presentations that translate complex data into clear business insights.
  • Support strategic decision-making through fact-based analysis and reporting.
  • Utilize advanced Excel and modern AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, reporting accuracy, and insight generation.
Retail Training amp; Product Enablement
  • Design and deliver engaging product training programs for retail associates, management teams, and strategic partners.
  • Support product launches through in-store training, virtual presentations, and field engagement activities.
  • Create excitement and confidence around our products within retail environments.
  • Ensure retail teams understand product features, benefits, installation considerations, and selling strategies.
  • Develop innovative learning approaches that improve knowledge retention and sales effectiveness.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for our products and flooring industry trends.
Retail Execution amp; Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail store associates, management teams, and key account stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular store visits to assess merchandising, displays, inventory positioning, and training effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate records, contacts, field observations, and account activity.
  • Partner with Strategic Account Managers to ensure execution aligns with broader business objectives.
  • Support product line reviews, merchandising updates, and in-store display initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing support and consultation to retail partners to drive sales performance and customer satisfaction.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop targeted training materials, content, and communication strategies.
  • Partner with Customer Support, Technical Services, Claims, Product Development, and Sales teams to resolve issues and improve customer experiences.
  • Share field insights that influence future product development, marketing initiatives, and business strategies.
  • Support trade shows, industry events, customer meetings, and strategic projects as needed.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Analytics, Sales, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience creating executive summaries, reports, and business presentations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with modern AI productivity platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or similar technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States.
Preferred
  • Experience within flooring, building products, home improvement, retail, or related industries.
  • Experience conducting market research, competitive intelligence, or field analytics.
  • Experience delivering training programs in retail, sales, or customer-facing environments.
