Job description

Account Executive – MDU/SFU Sales    

Great Plains Communications is looking for a high-energy sales professional to join our growing sales team.  

This position can be located in Indiana or Kentucky.

Hybrid remote work is available.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Builds relationships with developers and property managers to be “in the know” of coming projects.

Attends builder and developer organization meetings to better understand their industry, education, networking, and to better influence partnering decisions.

Generates new lead sources and develops new networking relationships.

Creates and maintains a prospect funnel including Multi Family (MDU) and Single Family (SFU) Opportunities.

Performs all activities for the sale of internet, voice, and video service arrangements, including exclusive marketing deals, to developers and property managers.

Works with property managers to compile lists of prospective customers for use in marketing materials, direct mail, and promotion campaigns to market services.

Help implement customer engagement and sales process to maximize sales effectiveness across the organization

Develops a sales forecast and budget, and the expense budget necessary to support sales efforts.

Makes field visits to obtain feedback/ideas from current MDU/SFU customers

Maintains involvement in forums, committees and organizations that will help identify business opportunities for the organization.

Participates in tradeshows and events at existing and/or new MDU/SFU accounts.

Works with Marketing to ensure promotions are planned and carried out in a successful manner.

Communicate effectively with internal boundary partners such as Engineering, Marketing, NSG Installers, and the Project Management team.

Remains knowledgeable of products and services and remains aware of competitors’ services, offers, and initiatives.

Works with MDU/SFU Account Manager to drive awareness of secured and/or existing, new, and forecasted accounts and opportunities.

Works with Project Management to ensure that post-sale implementation occurs effectively, and that the customer is satisfied in all respects at all times with the services purchased.

Provides reporting and information on a regular basis.

Successful candidate must have high level of energy and enthusiasm along with strong public relations skills, time management skills and written and verbal communication skills. Experience with MDU transactions, sales and negotiation skills are a must including knowledge of business sales principles and practices. Must have strong ability to think strategically and develop action plans.  Working knowledge of Salesforce and valid driver’s license.  Must also have the desire to devote necessary time and effort to achieve goals.

4-Year College Degree or equivalent work experience desired along with 10+ years of sales experience in telecommunications or related sales field desired. Must have a valid DL.
