Position Overview

Allure Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our expert team. This full-time, remote role focuses on providing specialized mental health care to individuals who have experienced trauma, enabling them to work towards healing and recovery. The ideal candidate will be an empowered professional with a strong understanding of trauma-informed care and a commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of their patients.

Work Environment

This position operates in a telehealth setting, allowing for flexibility and remote engagement with clients across various locations. Scheduled hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some adaptability possible based on patient demands. In this collaborative virtual space, our therapists employ innovative telecommunication methods to ensure effective therapy delivery while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' psychological needs, history, and trauma experiences, thereby establishing a solid foundation for treatment.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans centered on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and client empowerment.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at aiding clients in processing trauma, cultivating coping strategies, and fostering a sense of healing and recovery.
  • Collaborate closely with a diverse team of mental health professionals including psychiatrists to deliver seamless integrated care and address various client needs effectively.
  • Provide crisis intervention services and support clients during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
  • Educate clients and their families about trauma reactions, positive coping strategies, and available community resources to enhance their understanding and management of trauma.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
  • Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development activities that enhance your skills in trauma-informed care.
  • Stay informed about advancements in trauma therapy and incorporate new methods and research into your practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will directly support a diverse clientele, primarily composed of individuals dealing with the aftereffects of trauma. By implementing specialized treatment approaches, you will have the opportunity to guide your clients through recovery, helping them develop constructive coping mechanisms and resilience against future adversities.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of current and valid licensure as one of the following: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health therapy, ideally with a focus on trauma-related conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed treatment approaches, including effective interventions for trauma-focused therapy.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, embodying a compassionate and non-judgmental attitude towards clients.
  • Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining a calm and supportive demeanor.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in various computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
