About the Organization

At Tranquil Haven Counseling, we are committed to enhancing the mental health and overall well-being of our patients. As a leading counseling center operating within a respected detox facility in Menifee, California, we are proud to serve a diverse community of individuals seeking pathways to recovery and personal growth. Our experienced team of licensed therapists collaborates closely with medical professionals to deliver holistic care that addresses both mental and physical health needs.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position that offers full-time employment within a supportive and innovative team. Our therapists benefit from a flexible working environment, allowing them to focus on providing quality care to clients while maintaining work-life balance. Although the position is remote, regular communication with colleagues and direct engagement with patients are essential to foster a collaborative therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate the mental health needs of patients entering detox, determining appropriate, individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique circumstances.
  • Provide short-term individual counseling sessions and crisis intervention services for patients dealing with issues such as addiction, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
  • Facilitate engaging therapy groups and workshops that address critical topics related to addiction, coping strategies, self-care, and recovery, fostering a supportive community among participants.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare providers, nurses, and community organizations, ensuring holistic and integrated approaches to patient care.
  • Participate in outreach initiatives aimed at raising mental health awareness, including educational campaigns and wellness events that work to destigmatize mental health issues.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with all ethical, legal, and organizational standards, utilizing digital health records systems to ensure clarity and accessibility.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will have experience working with a diverse range of clients within a detox environment. This includes individuals navigating complex issues related to substance use disorders, mental health diagnoses, and co-occurring conditions. Your role will directly contribute to improving patient outcomes by providing tailored therapy that promotes healing, resilience, and a strong foundation for recovery.

Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted license in California as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Possession of a master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills applicable to the role.
  • A proven ability to understand and address the specific mental health challenges prevalent among individuals in detox and rehabilitation settings.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively engage patients, families, and interprofessional teams, creating a supportive therapeutic alliance.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices and brief therapy models that are effective in acute and sub-acute treatment settings.
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment, managing a varied caseload, prioritizing multiple tasks while delivering compassionate and skilled care.
Preferred Experience
  • At least three years of clinical experience in a mental health, substance abuse, or healthcare setting, preferably within a detox or rehabilitation context.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team-based environment, with an understanding of how to navigate interagency relationships to optimize patient care.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual salary ranging from USD $115,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • A comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and generous paid time off to support overall life balance.
  • Ongoing access to professional development opportunities, including workshops and continuing education resources to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.
  • A supportive work culture that encourages collaboration, team-building, and open communication, allowing therapists to thrive personally and professionally.
  • Opportunity to engage in initiatives that may involve research and publication potential within the field of mental health counseling.
  • Access to hospital resources, including libraries and wellness programs, to enrich your experience and offerings to patients.
Career Growth Opportunities

As a member of Tranquil Haven Counseling, you will have the opportunity to advance your career through professional development programs, mentorship from seasoned professionals, and involvement in community initiatives that enhance your visibility and impact in the field. Your growth is supported by our commitment to continuous learning and exploration of innovative therapeutic techniques.
