This role is set in an outpatient office context that promotes collaboration and learning, with the added benefit of remote work flexibility. Our team thrives on maintaining a culture of support and shared knowledge, ensuring that mental health professionals have the resources they need to excel. Although the core working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, some flexibility in scheduling may be required to accommodate patients’ diverse needs.

• Conduct comprehensive cultural assessments to understand patients' unique experiences, which will help in formulating effective treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions that respect and integrate patients’ cultural and personal backgrounds, considering various factors influencing their mental health.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, focusing on areas such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship dynamics to promote emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to coordinate holistic care for each patient.
• Provide crisis intervention support, ensuring immediate and effective response during mental health emergencies.
• Educate patients and families about mental health issues, treatment modalities, and community resources available to empower informed decision-making.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and training on cultural competency to continuously enhance service delivery.
• Stay updated with the latest research related to mental health practices while promoting an understanding of cultural nuances in therapy.

The ideal candidate will be dedicated to serving a diverse patient population, particularly those from marginalized communities. This includes working with individuals who may face multiple barriers to accessing mental health care, such as language differences, stigma, and systemic inequality. It is crucial that the Therapist fosters an inclusive atmosphere that acknowledges and respects these experiences, ensuring every patient feels valued and understood.

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensing as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.
• Robust understanding of mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and the application of culturally competent therapy practices.
• Experience in providing individual and group therapy, utilizing culturally responsive techniques that address specific patient needs.
• Strong crisis intervention abilities, with a calm demeanor when handling complex situations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective rapport building with a diverse clientele.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and an aptitude for using technology to enhance patient care.
• Commitment to ethical standards, including maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, fostering an atmosphere of respect and collaboration.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, ideally addressing the unique needs of diverse populations.
• Demonstrated success in employing culturally sensitive interventions and therapies in practice.
• Familiarity with community resources and support networks that assist patients in their mental health journeys.
