• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms on each client.
• Work closely with clients to design personalized treatment plans that align with their unique goals and preferences.
• Utilize established therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to provide evidence-based interventions.
• Monitor client progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care tailored to client needs.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care techniques.
• Maintain detailed, confidential records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and emerging research.
• Advocate for mental health awareness and assist clients in navigating community resources to meet their needs.

As an LMFT at Old Town Behavioral Health Services, you will engage with varied clients, including those dealing with mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Your expertise will allow you to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals who have faced substantial challenges, providing therapeutic support tailored to each person's circumstances.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster secure and trusting therapy relationships with clients.
• A genuine empathy, a nonjudgmental approach, and the ability to deeply understand clients' experiences and struggles.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively handle client caseloads and administrative responsibilities.

• Prior experience working with clients suffering from mood disorders.
• Familiarity with providing therapy in a telehealth setting.
• Experience in case advocacy and supporting clients from marginalized communities.
• Ability to incorporate knowledge of addiction counseling into therapeutic practices.
