Carson Counseling Center is excited to announce a full-time position for a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dedicated care team. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide essential mental health services in a remote setting, ensuring that our clients receive the support they need for their mental and emotional well-being. Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while maintaining a close connection with our community. Although this role is remote, you will be part of a committed team that collaborates regularly through video conferencing and online platforms. Our work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., ensuring a work-life balance that supports your personal health and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will have a diverse range of responsibilities, including:

  • Conducting thorough evaluations of clients to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorders.
  • Developing personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Fostering strong therapeutic alliances through effective communication, demonstrating empathy and a nonjudgmental approach.
  • Monitoring client progress closely and adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and holistic care.
  • Staying informed on the latest research and treatment modalities for mood disorders, and incorporating findings into your therapeutic practices.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential records while adhering to legal and ethical standards.
  • Participating in case consultations, attending team meetings, and engaging in professional development activities.
  • Advocating for clients and promoting mental health awareness within the community to minimize stigma associated with mental health issues.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals and families dealing with various mental health issues, especially focusing on divorce and relationship counseling. Your expertise in modalities such as structural family therapy or strategic therapy will be valuable in addressing the unique challenges faced by these clients. Your compassionate approach will assist clients in navigating their emotional landscapes and achieving healthier relationships.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Possession of a current and active Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) certification issued by the state.
  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on establishing a secure therapeutic relationship.
  • Demonstrated empathy and an open-minded attitude toward clients' diverse experiences and challenges.
  • Effective organizational and time-management skills to balance client caseloads and administrative responsibilities.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
