Carson Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our innovative and collaborative care team. Work Environment

This remote role allows you to work from the comfort of your home while engaging with clients via secure video conferencing platforms. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' emotional and relational dynamics, evaluating the intensity, frequency, and duration of their mood symptoms.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to meet clients' unique needs and goals.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families concerning mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to promote mental wellness.
  • Continuously monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to enhance effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure integrated care and the delivery of comprehensive treatment.
  • Stay current with ongoing research and advancements in mental health treatments to incorporate best practices into your therapeutic approach.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in alignment with all legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Engage in team case consultations, contribute to team meetings, and partake in ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and combat stigma associated with mental health challenges through effective communication and outreach.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The LMFT will work primarily with clients facing a range of issues including but not limited to relationship challenges, emotional distress, and transitions such as divorce or separation. The therapist will provide a supportive space that encourages open dialogue and utilizes effective therapeutic techniques to help clients rebuild and strengthen their relationships with themselves and others.

Qualifications
  • A current and active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish a secure and trusting therapeutic alliance with clients, exhibiting exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach are essential to effectively support clients through their experiences.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage a full caseload efficiently.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with various therapeutic modalities including structural family, strategic, systems, narrative, transgenerational, and communication therapy is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience in addiction counseling or related fields is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
  • The salary range for this position is between $115,000 and $130,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
