Job description

Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a paraprofessional Virtual SLP facilitator in an engaging educational setting near Canton, MI. This contract position offers the opportunity to support speech-language pathologist (SLP) services and help students thrive in a virtual learning environment. If you are passionate about fostering student growth and enjoy working collaboratively with education teams, this role could be an excellent fit.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Prior paraprofessional experience in school settings preferred
  • Understanding of SLP services and familiarity with virtual educational tools
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to assist with student engagement and follow guidance from SLPs
  • Patient, positive, and adaptable in a dynamic remote learning environment
  • Comfortable with technology and virtual classroom platforms

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate virtual speech-language sessions under the supervision of an SLP
  • Support students’ participation, encourage engagement, and monitor progress
  • Assist with scheduling, preparing virtual learning materials, and documenting session activities
  • Communicate regularly with SLPs, teachers, and families to support student needs
  • Ensure a supportive, inclusive environment for all learners
  • Adapt strategies to individual student requirements and feedback
