Job description

Thoracic Radiologist - Remote

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a board certified/eligible Diagnostic Thoracic radiologist to join our daytime team. Candidates who are currently in or who have recently graduated from a Thoracic radiology fellowship are encouraged to apply.

We offer remote opportunities for candidates interested in a traditional Monday through Friday daytime schedule, as well as for those seeking a 7-on/7-off rotation. No overnight coverage required as there is a separate Overnight team to cover after-hours' work. Cases will be a mixture of outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department examinations with the work responsibilities well-defined.

Successful applicants will need Ohio licensure. Relocation to Cleveland is not needed as this position can be entirely remote however there are certain state residency exceptions including California and Colorado.

Remote positions at Cleveland Clinic are well-established with excellent support and technology. All necessary equipment including work phone and workstation are supplied at no cost. 24/7 IT support as well as imaging support navigators to aid with provider and site communications are available. All sites use the same PACS (AGFA EI), dictation software (PowerScribe 360), and electronic medical record (EPIC).

The applicant will be part of a second newly formed daytime team of 2 Thoracic radiologists. The applicant will be joining a stable and collegial group of 15+ thoracic radiologists and a pre-existing remote team.If desired, there are opportunities other than the above listed shift. This position presents an excellent opportunity for professional growth with the benefits of practicing in a collaborative environment with excellent colleagues. Staff candidates can apply to become faculty at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. There are opportunities for education with residents and fellows.There is a Diagnostic Thoracic rradiology fellowship program and a Diagnostic Radiology residency program with over 40 residents. A 1-month medical student clerkship is offered and approximately 50 medical students rotate through the department each year.

Cleveland Clinic, an internationally renowned subspecialty medical center found in Cleveland, Ohio, is composed of a 1,400-bed main campus, ambulatory care facilities, and the Lerner Research Institute. Cleveland Clinic Health System currently encompasses 12 community hospitals and more than 20 family health centers within the Cleveland area in addition to sites in Nevada and Florida. Over 2.6 million radiological examinations are performed annually system-wide at the Cleveland Clinic with a focus on sub-specialty care. There is a wide complement of modern MRI and CT scanners, including a clinical 7.0T machine, photon counting CT, MRI PET and MR guided focused ultrasound for intracranial applications.

Thoracic radiology staff keep close working relationships with primary referral centers in the Pulmonary, Thoracic Surgery, Cancer, and Medicine departments to promote clinical innovation and research.
