We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our growing operations team. The successful candidate should have a client-focused approach with experience in construction and/or facilities maintenance, with strong project management skills and a demonstrated ability to negotiate and build relationships with subcontractors.

What you will be doing:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and manage all coordination of assigned projects in alignment with the client’s expectations and according to 23rd Group’s client service standards.
  • Provide effective and proactive communication with assigned clients and associated service locations to ensure expectations and requirements are met throughout the life-cycle of the project. Ensure all work is completed within the client's service level agreements.
  • Ensure consistent client communication regarding status of projects, proposals, performance times, follow-ups and outside of the box alternative solutions.
  • Procure and qualify pricing bids from pre-qualified subcontractors and technicians. Review all scopes of work and pricing. Negotiate rates and costs to ensure a continuing focus is placed on reducing client costs.
  • Establish and cultivate appropriate relationships with project contractors to balance client expectations and cost-saving measures.
  • Manage and coordinate logistical requirements with technicians, contractors, landlord agents, client points of contact, and service locations.
  • ·Job responsibilities can include some weekend/afterhours oversight. Client communication after hours may be required.
  • Manage project implementation ensuring projects are successfully completed within the established scope of work. Complete all tasks by set deadlines and within budget.
  • Utilize 23rd Group’s work order management system to ensure all projects are properly documented and status updated throughout all project phases up to and including submittal of change orders and invoices.
  • Learn Client software management systems and successfully utilize per Client requirements.
  • Actively participate in continuing education and training, team development activities, and Company-wide events.

Your background, skills, and qualifications:

  • Working knowledge in general construction trades and pricing. Experience in scope estimations for multi-trade projects.
  • Strong project management skills – coordination and communication, creative problem solving, time management, organization, and a client-focused service mentality.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with technicians and subcontracts, while still maintaining an effective working relationship.
  • High level of business acumen - professional business writing and communication skills, flexible and adaptable to change, and maintains an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Excellent PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, required
