Remote Release Train Engineer information

What is a remote release train engineer?

A Remote Release Train Engineer (RTE) is a servant leader and coach for an Agile Release Train (ART), working remotely to facilitate program-level processes and execution. The RTE helps manage risks, escalates impediments, and ensures alignment across teams to deliver value in large-scale Agile organizations. They organize and facilitate key events like PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and System Demos, all while communicating across distributed teams. Working remotely, they use digital tools to collaborate and keep projects on track, ensuring continuous improvement and transparency.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote release train engineer?

To thrive as a Remote Release Train Engineer, you need a solid understanding of Agile methodologies (especially SAFe), project management, and experience coordinating large-scale software development initiatives, often backed by a relevant degree and SAFe RTE certification. Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, and virtual collaboration platforms is typically required. Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills help align distributed teams and drive continuous improvement. These skills are crucial for ensuring seamless program execution, stakeholder alignment, and the successful delivery of complex projects in a remote environment.

How does a remote release train engineer ensure effective communication and alignment across distributed Agile teams?

A Remote Release Train Engineer (RTE) plays a crucial role in facilitating collaboration among multiple Agile teams, often spread across different locations and time zones. To ensure effective communication and alignment, RTEs leverage digital tools like virtual whiteboards, video conferencing, and project management platforms to host regular sync meetings, such as PI Planning and Scrum of Scrums. They proactively address potential misunderstandings, foster transparency by sharing updates, and create clear documentation accessible to all stakeholders. Building trust and maintaining open lines of communication are key to keeping everyone aligned and ensuring that program objectives are met.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Senior Website Manager

Immediate Supervisor: CEO / CTO

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000 annually

SpeedVegas is seeking an experienced Senior Website Manager to own the direction, execution, and continuous improvement of our multi-brand websites, booking experience, and e-commerce operation.

This senior role is the operational bridge between leadership, marketing, the CTO, developers, agencies, and vendors. You will set priorities, manage delivery, own website and e-commerce performance, and still remain close enough to the CMS and content operation to ensure work ships at a high standard.

Immediate Priorities — First 90 Days
  • Support the final delivery and launch of the new website and booking platform, including coordination of remaining development work, User Acceptance Testing, content review, launch preparation, and post-launch stabilization.
  • Take hands-on ownership of critical CMS publishing, all website pages, landing pages, promotions, pricing, and content updates during the launch and stabilization period.
  • Build and update pages from approved templates; accurately format copy, apply approved design assets, and prepare completed pages for review and publication.
  • Assess the current content, conversion, customer-journey, and operational backlog; prioritize the highest-value improvements, translate them into clear tickets with acceptance criteria, and assign work to the appropriate internal or external resource.
  • Establish a clear process for website updates: manage content, design, testing, and publishing directly, and coordinate developers for any coding or technical work.
Responsibilities
  • Own the overall website, booking, and e-commerce roadmap, ensuring customer experience, revenue goals, technical execution, timelines, budgets, and operational needs stay aligned.
  • Manage external developers, agencies, designers, technology vendors, and implementation partners; set expectations, review deliverables, resolve issues, and hold work to schedule and quality standards.
  • Support the CTO by taking ownership of website and e-commerce delivery operations, including requirements, prioritization, vendor coordination, testing, release readiness, and follow-through.
  • Own the website product backlog and release process: define well-scoped tickets, lead UAT and QA, approve releases, and verify production fixes.
  • Own e-commerce and booking performance, including offers, pricing, promotions, checkout flows, payment experience, merchandising, and conversion opportunities.
  • Partner with marketing and communications on content strategy, landing pages, campaigns, SEO/GEO, CRO, analytics, and brand consistency; remain hands-on with CMS content when needed
  • Provide leadership with concise updates on progress, risks, decisions, vendor performance, business impact, and recommended next steps.

Las Vegas Motorsports Park, LLC dba SpeedVegas and its subsidiaries provides equal employment opportunity to all individuals regardless of race, color, creed, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by state, federal, or local law.

Technical Proficiencies
  • Strong understanding of websites, e-commerce, booking flows, APIs, integrations, web analytics, and modern digital delivery practices.
  • Hands-on familiarity with CMS platforms, website content operations, SEO/CRO, conversion measurement, and customer-journey optimization.
  • Experience managing developer, agency, and vendor workflows through tools such as Jira, Asana, or Trello; practical command of UAT, QA, and release management.
  • Familiarity with website architecture and platforms such as Symfony/PHP, React, payment providers, CRM, or reporting tools is helpful; coding is not required.
  • Experience working with APIs, web integrations, and data flows; able to define requirements, coordinate developers and vendors, test integrations, and resolve issues.
  • Practical experience using AI tools to improve content creation, image production, research, quality assurance, customer experience, and internal workflows.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years leading websites, e-commerce, digital products, or complex customer-facing digital initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success owning website launches, rebuilds, e-commerce operations, or multi-vendor digital programs from planning through production.
  • Strong vendor-management, project-management, business, and communication skills; able to work effectively with executives, marketers, designers, developers, and external partners.
  • A high-ownership, data-informed operator who can set direction, make decisions, and still step into content and execution details when needed.
Work Environment

Full-time position. Las Vegas-based candidates are preferred; hybrid or remote arrangements may be considered for the right senior candidate, with reliable Pacific Time collaboration and travel to Las Vegas as needed.
