Description

As a Senior Substation Engineer at CDG Engineers, you will be responsible for designing and implementing critical electrical infrastructure projects. You will leverage your technical expertise to solve complex engineering challenges related to transmission and distribution systems. Your work will involve a wide range of tasks, including tower design, line design, substation layout, SCADA systems, and protection systems. Your ability to innovate, learn new technologies, and collaborate effectively will be essential to your success in this role. The salary range for this role is $100K-$140K annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role. This is a remote optional role; or can be hybrid if preferred at our St. Louis, MO headquarters office.

Requirements for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong Transmission and Distribution experience in protective relay settings/relay coordination
  • Minimum of 5+ years relevant experience (10+ years required for Senior level)
  • Demonstrated expertise in the core areas of: 
    • T&D Substation Design
    • SCADA Systems/Design
    • System Protection (Relaying) Design
  • Working ability with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools preferred.
  • Working knowledge of electric utility industry and environmental issues
  • Working ability with Aspen OneLiner software (highly preferred) 

Preferred requirements:

  • PE license
