Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity and patterns of mood disorder symptoms, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs, goals, and preferences of clients, leveraging evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Provide ongoing guidance and support, facilitating educational discussions with clients and their families about treatment options and self-care strategies.
  • Regularly monitor and document client progress, reassessing treatment plans as needed to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other medical specialists to create an integrated treatment approach, enhancing the overall care and support provided to our clients.
  • Engage in continuous professional development, contributing to case consultations, team meetings, and staying current with the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment.
  • Advocate for clients and their mental health needs, working to reduce stigma and ensuring access to necessary resources.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse array of clients, particularly those experiencing mood disorders, including individuals affected by difficult life circumstances such as homelessness, domestic violence, or refugee status. Your role will be crucial in providing empathy, understanding, and skillful interventions that promote healing, recovery, and improved quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trustful therapeutic relationships through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate, empathetic disposition and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clients and their experiences.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to effectively handle administrative tasks and client caseload.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in treating mood disorders, especially within an outpatient setting.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based modalities, particularly CBT and DBT.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
