Job description

Offensive Security Analyst (Structured / Non-Exploit)
About the Role
What if your red team instincts and adversarial mindset could directly influence how the world's most advanced AI systems understand cybersecurity threats? We're looking for Offensive Security Analysts to analyze real-world attack paths, model adversary behavior, and help build AI that genuinely understands how threats move through modern environments.
This role is built around structured adversarial reasoning - not exploit development. If you can think like an attacker, map how intrusions unfold, and explain where defenses break down, your expertise is exactly what we need.
  • Organization
    : Alignerr
  • Type
    : Hourly Contract
  • Location
    : Remote
  • Commitment
    : 10-40 hours/week
What You'll Do
  • Analyze attack paths, kill chains, and adversary strategies across realistic, production-style environments
  • Identify and classify weaknesses, misconfigurations, and defensive gaps
  • Review red team scenarios and intrusion narratives for accuracy, completeness, and real-world plausibility
  • Generate, label, and validate adversarial reasoning data used to train and evaluate frontier AI systems
  • Explain complex attack chains, threat impact, and security tradeoffs in clear, structured terms
  • Work independently and asynchronously - on your own schedule
Who You Are
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in pentesting, red teaming, or a blue-team role with deep attack knowledge
  • Strong understanding of how real attacks unfold in production environments - from initial access to lateral movement and impact
  • Able to articulate attack chains, business risk, and security tradeoffs clearly in writing
  • Systematic thinker who can model threat behavior without writing or running exploits
  • Self-motivated and reliable when working independently on task-based assignments
Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, the Cyber Kill Chain, or PTES
  • Experience with threat modeling, purple teaming, or adversary emulation
  • Background in cloud security, Active Directory environments, or enterprise network architecture
  • Prior experience producing structured security documentation or technical writeups
  • Exposure to AI tools or security research workflows
Why Join Us
  • Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside leading AI research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible - work when and where it suits you
  • Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work
  • Apply your offensive security expertise to a domain that's genuinely shaping the future of AI
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
