IT Systems Management Analyst - Red Hat Linux Admin
Remote
Job Description -
As part of the Core Service Operations Server Support team you will assist in the 24x7x365 Production and NonProduction support of the Unix servers running in the environment. The global Unix server team supports over 25,000 virtual and physical RHEL, AIX, Centos, and Solaris servers. Day to day work involves incident and service request management, change management, as well as project work.
This job requires shift working M-F 5:30 PM CST - 2:00 AM CST
Required Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience with Red Hat Linux including Standalone and Virtual Servers
• 2+ years of experience in Administering RHEL (V6, V7, V8)
• 2+ years of VMWare ESX experience
• In depth knowledge and experience with, storage addition and filesystem administration, cluster nodes, topologies, networks, and heartbeat concepts
• Solid understanding of Linux system administration, user administration, file/directory permissions, LVM, maintenance of software and system patches, TCP/IP concepts, NFS, DNS, storage concepts, and performance tuning.
• Working experience with SAN attached storage, Satellite, Oracle ASM
Preferred Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience working in an operational support role with an environment of 500+ Unix Servers
• Experience writing automation scripts
• Experience with Centos
• Healthcare Industry experience
• ServiceNow or other ITIL tool experience
• GFS2, GPFS, and Veritas Cluster experience
• Knowledge of Ansible, Chef, and other automation & configuration management tools
Knowledge of monitoring, storage & backups technologies
